Slowly back the shaft out so you can hear the noise change, now slowly screw the shaft back in , as soon as the slapping stops. Web leaving it the way it is will cause premature cam stretching and cam chaion slider wear, among other potential issues.

At The Start I Had It Pulled Out Way Too Far.

After One Ride Noise Drove Me Crazy (Bike Still Went Like Stink), Had My Local Shop Check Cam Chain (Appeared Tight), Valve Clearances (Perfect) Primary And Counterbalance Nut (Not Loose But Removed And Loctited Anyway) And Remove Auto Decompressor.
